How to Draw Practiced-Looking Bolts (From the Trenches Tutorial)

Here are step-by-pace instructions for drawing bolts and basics for exploded assemblies.

These instructions are designed to aid you make an exploded associates with bolts that look like threaded bolts. You will be drawing bolts rather than inserting them from an online catalog. H. On the correct side of the threads, describe a line from the bottom crest upwardly 1/4" (one/iv" bolt). Describe some other line from the midpoint of this line across the stop of the threads. This gives you a place to put the bolt head.

I. Move the bolt caput from the eye of the right side to the intersection of the bolt threads and erase the two construction lines.

Voila! You have drawn a proficient-looking nut to friction match your good-looking commodities.
