"Annie's Song" (also known as "Annie's Song (You Fill Up My Senses)") is a song in 3
4 fourth dimension written and recorded by American singer-songwriter John Denver. The vocal was released as the lead unmarried from his 8th studio album Back Home Again. It was his second number-one song in the U.s., occupying that spot for two weeks in July 1974. Shawn M. Haney of Allmusic noted the song'south expressive emotionality, calling it an "e'er and so romantic tearjerker". Haney praised "Annie's Vocal" as "i of Denver'south finest achievements".[5] Billboard called information technology a "fine love song."[6]

On July four, 2016, Ville Valo released a encompass version of "Annie's Song" in Finnish, titled "Olet mun kaikuluotain" ("You're My Sonar").[22] The lyrics were past Hector, and the song had previously been recorded in 1976 by Freeman.[22] Ville Valo's version was released as a tribute to Finnish label Honey Records, who celebrated their 50th anniversary in 2016.[22] Valo'southward version was likewise the first release from the label in over xxx years.[22] Valo commented on the song, stating: "'Kaikuluotain' is a babyhood favorite of mine, to the beat of which many a sleepless night ended up in tears. Supporters of Sheffield United utilise the melody of Annie'south Song equally The Greasy Scrap Butty Song, a football game chant with recast lyrics humorously extolling the virtues of life in Sheffield and as supporters of the club.[26]
